“Filtro” it’s an idea I had the first time I heard about the end of the world in 2012.

Laura is a girl who after a terrible and violent break up, decides to go vacation with her best friends to the South of Mexico. But after getting drunk and having bad dreams, she think she need to save the world…or she is going insane.

Either way, apparently are other people who think she is the “chosen one” whatever that means. Also there is a foul-mouthed monkey.

Webcomic recommendation: hOSTIL

“hOSTIL” was the first comic I did about 6 years ago. Tells the story of a Vampire who is freed in the 2000’s and he becomes friend with a guy named Pedro, who is a psychopath. 

I think the drawings are terrible, but I still like the story and is fun, and bloody.

By the way, the title comes from the Pantera song “Hostile”

It’s 1973 and Sam Kimimura is a P.I. hired to find a girl named Daphne. The investigation leads him to the town of Terrebonne, he soon finds out the girl is dead. Now the detective has to deal with suspects, ex boyfriends, a fishy sheriff and jealous dads.

Fantastic crime story and wonderful art.

Webcomic Recommendation: Fishtown

This is an old webcomic, but I found out about it a few weeks ago when the podcast JK Happy Hour interview the autor: Kevin Colden.

Based on a true crime, this webcomic narrates the facts through police questioning and flashbacks. Little by little we see what these teenagers did.

Colden does great panels and uses the colors on way that reflects the bleak story.
